SPIRAL International has a part-time opening for a Social Media and Marketing position.
SPIRAL International is an educational organization based in Vermont, USA. Our mission is to promote cross-cultural learning and understanding through international education and exchange.
Since 2010, SPIRAL has offered a variety of programs that support this mission by building education partnerships across the world. We help U.S. schools develop partner-school relationships in other countries, offer U.S. teachers professional development opportunities in international education, and organize study abroad and cross-cultural learning trips in many countries of the world. We offer online Chinese language classes for schools and individuals. We also recruit international students into U.S. schools and colleges through dual diploma and joint-degree programs and host international students for education exchange programs throughout the school year.
Compensation and benefits include:
a. Ten hours per week, pay commensurate with experience.
b. Paid in-house training on SPIRAL International education knowledge and skills, as well as the history and development of SPIRAL programs.
c. Mileage reimbursement for business travels.
d. Occasional domestic and international travel opportunities.
Responsibilities:
· Attend regular online staff and marketing meetings
· Conduct market study and research to identify potential customers
· Create and manage social media accounts and post regularly
· Work with SPIRAL team to update and monitor website
· Maintain an active SPIRAL online presence for “passive” marketing
· Conduct direct marketing: create and manage email lists and other marketing strategies
· Work with SPIRAL team to create marketing materials
· Develop and maintain relationships with schools and organizations to promote online language classes and Asia-related education programs
Required Qualifications:
· Work experience with online marketing (social media, etc.)
· Work experience with website management and improving and increasing business online presence
· Work experience with direct marketing
· Writing and graphic design skills
Desired/Preferred Qualifications:
· Undergraduate degree and a strong interest in educational programs
· Experience with and/or knowledge of study abroad/exchange programs
· Familiarity with Chinese culture and Chinese language is a plus
