International Marine Products, Los Angeles, is currently hiring a full-time QC Coordinator. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills and willing to learn Quality Assurance & Quality Control daily process. No experience needed, we will train.
Work schedule: Tuesday to Friday, 6:00am to 2:30pm; Saturday 1:00am to 9:30am
Quality Assurance
- Conducts daily sanitation inspection of the processing facility and ensure all elements of the checklist form are thoroughly evaluated. Completes a sanitation monitoring form to document the results of the inspection.
- Uses a dial, digital and/or infrared thermometer to measure the temperature of raw materials, finished products and/or the processing room and document the results on a monitoring form.
- Monitors pest control. Accompanies the pest control agent during periodic service calls and take corrective action or notify Food Safety Dept. supervisor of the need to take corrective action.
Quality Control
- Assists developing and maintains documentation for regulations including food manufacturing, facility registration and State registration; HACCP, FDA, SQF, etc.
Key Duties:
- Assist Food Safety Manager to maintain Food Safety programs
- Review all Critical Control Point (CCP) monitoring and verification records to ensure compliance with HACCP critical limits and frequencies, as required by the HACCP plan.
- Review and evaluate all records for accuracy and completeness and determine need for process improvement
- Analyze processes, identify trends and anomalies, and continuously evaluate plant programs for improvement
- Ensure all food safety-related documents and records are controlled and that current issues are in use
- Keep informed of food safety laws and regulations
- Organize all HACCP documentation, generate reports, audit preparation
Requirements:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Computer skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Able to work independently as well as in a team
- Authorized to work in the United States
Physical Demands:
- Able to work at hot & cold environment: warehouse, freezer, and cold storage etc.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Education: AA or AS Degree
