Harborview Medical Center's Environmental Services/Laundry & Linen has an outstanding opportunity for a Full Time Day Shift Fixed Duration STOCKROOM ATTENDANT 2. The Stockroom Attendant 2 is responsible for delivering clean linen carts, restocking and building clean linen carts, for units and clinics within the hospital. This position will also be required to meet laundry trucks and ensure all orders are correct.

Work Schedule: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Meet laundry trucks from the central laundry and receive clean linen into appropriate staging areas
  • Receive orders and check receipts and invoices
  • Collect and transport soiled linen to the soiled holding areas at the loading dock in a safe and legal manner
  • Perform daily routine activities in exchanging linen floor carts, delivering and restocking linens, building and rebuilding linen floor carts for assorted units and clinics within the hospital
  • Deliver exchange carts and closets/drawers of clean linen as determined by established par levels
  • Evaluate and re-evaluate par levels and adjust as necessary on a regularly scheduled basis
  • Maintain and keep accurate records of linen stock levels
  • Assist in maintaining and recording the physical linen room inventory as required
  • Perform routine activity of picking up dirty linen to load in carts and meet truck deliveries to load dirty linen
  • Carry a pager during working hours; respond to customer service calls and/or pages for clean linen deliveries and soiled linen pick-up in a professional manner and log to customer call log sheets
  • Respond to customer service calls as they arise with hospital staff
  • Report operational issues to the supervisor and answer general operational questions as they arise with hospital staff
  • Clean and perform light custodial duties in the stockroom area
  • Perform other duties as required

    REQUIREMENTS:
    Six months of full-time experience as a Stockroom Attendant 1 OR equivalent education/experience. :
  • Ability to take or follow instruction from supervisor
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds of linen weight and push/pull up to 800 lbs of linen carts
  • Will be required to use big push carts, baskets, pagers, pallet jacks, weighing scale, and computers
