Job Responsibilities
Under general supervision, functions in an administrative capacity reporting to a major program administrator supporting the Information Technology program initiatives; analyzes applications and documents requirements for software updates and enhancements; identifies software problems and develops corrective actions in cooperation with developers; tests software problem fixes and enhancements to meet IOC user requirements; documents software changes by applying IOC procedures for migration between tests and production environments; perform quality control and assurance tasks according to IOC procedures; provides training on system updates; supports software development and quality control methodology.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related degree with coursework specific to information technology; minimum one year experience in application development, web site development/maintenance; modification, documentation, and software programming; a willingness to learn both legacy systems as well as more modern object-oriented technologies is of added benefit.
